Question and Answer About Exhibitor Space for the Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show
- What is the duration of the fair?
This community fair runs for one full week, from October 3-9th, 2023.
- How many patrons attend the fair?
Last year we were fortunate enough to welcome a crowd of over 130,000 patrons through our gates.
- What are the demographics of those who attend the Fair?
Our demographics that attend the Fair vary in age, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, and come geographically from different locations across Southwestern Ontario. This is a community-based event.
- What attractions do you have at the Fair?
We celebrate Young Canada Day on opening day with local elementary and high schools in attendance, various nights of motorsports, 2 nights of concerts, local musical entertainment all week long, horse shows, buskers, Norfolk Fair Market, an agricultural awareness program and midway rides and games provided by the World’s Finest Shows.
- I am unable to rent Exhibitor space for the full week. Can I rent space for a few days?
No. At this time we do not offer space by the day. Look at our other options to be an Exhibitor at the Fair through our Sponsorship program or our Norfolk Fair Market.
- What is the cost of renting booth space in the buildings?
Exhibiting booth space cost is dependent on a number of factors but starts at
$740.00 for an exterior commercial booth space. The Norfolk Fair Market is a commission-based artisan market with one central cashier and no base booth fee.
- What are the dates and times for Exhibitors to set up for the Fair?
The following information is the dates and times for Exhibitors and Food Concessions to set up for the Fair:
Friday, September 29 – 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
Saturday, September 30 – 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
Sunday, October 1 – 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Monday, October 2 – 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.
ALL EXHIBIT BOOTHS MUST BE IN PLACE, FULLY STAFFED AND OPERATIONAL NO LATER THAN ½ HOUR PRIOR TO THE OPENING TIME OF THE FAIR.
- What are the hours of the buildings and midway?
Gates to the Fairgrounds open at 8:30 am every day of the Fair.
The Midway sets its own hours of operation as they are a privately owned business. In the past, they have opened the rides around 1 pm each day.
Food Concession booths open their trucks and trailers around the same times as Exhibitor buildings.
The following are the Exhibitor building (buildings 4, 5, and 6) hours. (Please note building 5 – The Curling Building is designated as a lounge area with live music. Closing hours for this building may vary.)

- What is the procedure for teardown on Monday?
Exhibitors will be able to teardown on Monday after the buildings close at 8 pm. All booth space must remain open until this time. Vehicles will not be allowed to move to the building entrances until 11 pm under the supervision of the Building Supervisor and Vendor Coordinator.
The building will close at 12 midnight and reopen the next day at 8 am. The buildings will remain open until 6 pm on Tuesday. All material must be removed at that time or it will be disposed of at the Exhibitor’s expense.
