The Norfolk County Agricultural Society (NCAS) operator of the Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show continues to closely monitor the rapidly evolving reports about the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. The health and safety of our volunteers, staff, patrons, concessionaires, exhibitors, performers, partners and the community at large, are our top priorities.
The NCAS is working in consultation with municipal, provincial and federal governments, along with the advice of the Haldimand Norfolk Health Unit and Norfolk County in preparations for the 2020 fair (October 6th to October 12th). In all aspects of our collective experience operating and hosting our grounds for events, safety comes first at the NCAS.
Although our annual Fair is still twenty four weeks away, we are deeply saddened by the direct and sudden impact of the virus on so many of our County’s vibrant festivals, events, attractions and businesses and will be reaching out to help where we can. We remain optimistic and have the utmost confidence in Norfolk, and the effort to flatten the spread of this virus, that soon we will be able to come together again to enjoy all that our great community has to offer — including the 180-year-old tradition that is the Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show
The Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show is celebrating 180 years, and is the fourth largest fair in Ontario and has an annual attendance in excess of 120,000 visitors. The Fair has earned a “Top 100” event designation from Festivals and Events of Ontario and is one of the top fairs in the country according to the Canadian Association of Fairs and Exhibitions. The Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show is held in Simcoe, Ontario – October 6th – 12th, 2020.
